Assistant Operation Manager

Descriptions

  • Assist the Operations Manager in planning, organizing and executing shipyard projects.
  • Coordinate with different departments, including engineering, production, logistics, and procurement, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Monitor and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to support project requirements.
  • Work with the Operation Manager to optimize resource utilization and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Support the implementation of quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with HSE personnel to identify and mitigate potential hazards and incidents to ensure a safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
  • Support the Operations Manager in monitoring project progress and identifying deviations from the plan.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and update stakeholders on project status.
  • Assist in monitoring project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities for ensuring adherence to the allocated budget.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team and project managers to address customer inquiries, concerns and feedback to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancement.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Engineering/ project management or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in shipyard operations or a similar industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in MS office and project management software.
  • Able to start immediately will be an advantage.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent with minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial or related role, preferably in the shipyard or maritime industry.
  • Solid understanding of commercial and project management principles.
  • Proficient in cost estimation, financial analysis, and budgeting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and contract management best practices.
  • Possesses advanced Microsoft office skills.
  • Able to start immediately will be an advantage.
